Nathan was employed as a gardener at Foxborough Hall from August 1914 to April 1919. In 1911, he was living in on Dalinghoo Road, Wickham Market. Nathan was born in Dallinghoo in 1858, the son of Charles Buckles (a domestic gardener) and Lydia Spall. He died within the registration district of Plomesgate in 1928.
