Eleanor Edith Welton was the second daughter of William Woodard Welton and his wife Annie of Farlingay Hall, Woodbridge. On 1st October 1916, Eleanor joined the staff of Foxborough Hall Hospital providing general help and nursing to the men convalescing there. Eleanor left the Red Cross on 15th April 1918, having given nine hundred and four hours of her time.
